CQTech achieved a remarkable success by securing first place at the Pasqal-CMC Microsystems Hackathon, a competitive event that brought together teams focused on leveraging quantum technology to address real-world challenges. Over two weeks, the CQTech team participated in workshops on Neutral Atoms Quantum Computers (NAQCs), Pulser (Pasqal’s open-source library for programming NAQCs), and learning digital and analog computing techniques in preparation for the event’s challenge.

On Monday, June 10th, 2024, the University of Ferhat Abbas in Setif hosted a dynamic quantum workshop led by CQTech, featuring Dr. Taha Rouabah, CQTech’s principal investigator, and four of CQTech’s PhD students.

Last June, Dr. Taha Roubah, ARISE Fellow and CQTech’s PI , had the privilege of attending the ARISE High-Level Scientific Convening in Hammamet, Tunisia. Hosted by the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur de Tunis, this event brought together leading young scientific minds, policymakers, and thought leaders from across Africa.

Last April, Dr. Taha Rouabah, CQTech’s Pi, and Abdellah Tounsi, one of CQTech’s PhD students, traveled to the United States to deepen our collaborations with partners at Purdue University and in Chicago.

Following the 9th Arab-American Frontiers symposium, Professors Taha Rouabah and David Esteban Bernal Neira established a collaboration through the Arab-American Frontiers Fellowship sponsored by the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM).

Dr. Taha Rouabah had recently the honor of participating in the “Robin Kaiser 60th Birthday Symposium”, a remarkable event that celebrated the 60th birthday of his esteemed PhD supervisor, Robin Kaiser.
